We are thrilled to announce that Siobhan Bryson has accepted the role as our new CEO. Siobhan is incredibly passionate about Weave and looks forward to leading the organisation into the future.

It’s been an inspirational and busy few weeks celebrating NAIDOC #BecauseofHerWeCan, and now preparing for next week’s Weave Charity Gala – our biggest event of the year.

A message from Siobhan

Hello friends and supporters of Weave,

I am excited, proud and humbled to let you all know that I have been appointed as the new CEO of Weave Youth & Community Services.

It is an absolute honour and privilege to be entrusted with the leadership of this incredible, unique organisation and to lead such a dedicated, committed, and talented Weave team.

I love Weave and the communities we work alongside. I am passionate about the work we all do together with our wonderful staff team, partners, volunteers, our Board and supporters to empower people to change their lives.
At Weave, we believe that a little bit of the right support at the right time goes a long way. We don’t judge, we don’t discriminate – we welcome all, offering practical support, guidance, and the skills and belief required to help people overcome challenges and find a way up and a way forward.

As I take on the role, I would like to honour and acknowledge former long-term CEO Shane Brown, who has been instrumental in shaping and growing Weave into the wonderful organisation it is today. Shane committed 35 years of heart, passion, commitment and hard work to grow Weave from a single youth worker project, into the fully fledged holistic service that it is today.

I would also like to acknowledge Greg Benson, who has done a fabulous job at the helm over the past 12-months, sharing new perspectives and ideas, and working hard to advocate for Weave.

Having worked at Weave in different roles over the past 17 years, I have seen first-hand the enormous difference that Weave has made in so many people’s lives. I am proud and privileged to have played a part in creating that change. I am inspired every day by the strength and resilience of the people we work to support and I’m excited about what’s possible for Weave into the future.

Our biggest event of the year is exactly one week away – we hope you may attend our Weave Charity Gala on July 26th at Doltone House. It’s going to be a great night that will showcase Weave’s programs, impact and stories. Hope to see you there!

Warm regards,
Siobhan Bryson
