What an amazing term it’s been with the Kool Kids doing arts and crafts! Each week we headed to La Perouse Public School where we rolled up our sleeves and got our hands dirty experimenting and creating incredible artworks.
The Kool Kids on this program have so much talent and we’ve been blown away each week seeing their finished masterpieces! It’s amazing to see how focused, thoughtful and patient they’ve been with the different activities each week. We’ve had some of the best afternoon’s getting our groove on to Michael Jackson while cutting, pasting, painting, drawing and stamping. There are definitely some young Van Gough’s at Kool Kids!
On the last day, we organised a BBQ down at the park and surprised the group with DIY slime shakers. The Kool Kids (and staff) absolutely loved this and the next minute there was a mini slime fest happening. We ended the afternoon by giving out certificates to each student.
So that wraps up the end of another great term! Quick shout out to La Perouse Public School, who kindly allowed us to use their art room each week. We also had some wonderful guest facilitators like The Nutty Professor (Nathalia), Anne-Claire and Shona.
