Speak Out

The Speak Out Dual Diagnosis Program works with young people aged 12 – 28 years who are experiencing coexisting mental health and drug and alcohol challenges. The program provides practical support, counselling, therapeutic projects, groups, events and social activities.


The Role

You will provide casework, youth work, practical assistance, housing support, information and referral, education and advice and support services to children and young people (aged 12-17 years) and/or their families.

You will work in a trauma-informed, highly responsive, proactive and innovative way, and develop collaborative relationships with other Weave team members and other services to ensure holistic support to young people experiencing co-existing mental health and AOD issues.

You will feel supported through regular supervision, access to peer review, opportunities for training and development and a friendly and experienced team around you.

Strong casework experience with young people with complex issues is required and experience working with Aboriginal young people and communities will be highly valued.

Classification for this position is SCHCADS Award Level 4 Paypoint 1-4 depending on qualifications and experience. Hourly rate range: $37.02 – $39.89 per hour depending on qualifications and experience plus salary packaging benefits.
