Casework

We provide casework support, practical assistance, information, education and support services to young people (12-28yo) with co-existing mental illness and substance use problems (AOD). We focus to provide opportunities and pathways for Indigenous and non Indigenous young people.

Advocacy

As caseworkers we are committed to standing alongside an individual who is disadvantaged and speak out on their behalf in a way that represents the best interest of the young person. 

Accommodation support 

We provide information on crisis, housing and support services for young people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. 

Youth Accommodation Association - 9318 1531 Provides information on youth refuges, and daily updates on availabble youth accommodation beds in NSW. 

Emergency Accommodation Line: 1800 152 152 

We also support clients in the application process for public housing through housing NSW.

Centrelink 

We help to provide young people to navigate the most appropriate pathways to access payments and service. 

Court/Legal Support 

We take a role in identifying opportunities and support to improve access to justice for our clients.

Education and Training 

We can assist and support you in sourcing the right course/training for you. This includes support with all your enrolment requirements and access and transition into your course or path of education and training.

Work and Development Orders 

Through case work and counselling work with the Speakout team you can pay off your fines that have accumlated through the state debt recovery office. This can also include volunteering your time to participate in youth programs and events. 

These are just some of the main areas we support our clients in. We understand there are often young people with complex needs that require support in other areas of their life. Our Casework Team are flexible and responsive to changing needs in the life's of clients that we support and develop an action plan in discussion with clients on the direct needs requiring support.
