Applications are now open for Youth Challenge Australia’s Indigenous Youth Leadership Program

Youth Challenge Australia is looking for Indigenous volunteers to participate in a six-week community development project in Vanuatu. Successful applicants will team up with five other Indigenous volunteers as well as Indigenous Ni-Vanuatu youth to work with a rural community in their development towards a better future.

The program offers an invaluable opportunity to gain leadership skills, explore new personal boundaries, and make important contributions where it counts – all while having fun and experiencing things most people only dream about.

If you identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and aged between 21 and 30 you could qualify for the opportunity.

Applicants must be available to undertake the six- week leadership, community development and cultural exchange project in Vanuatu and complete one week of training and a debrief session in Sydney between June 21 and August 8, 2012.

Applicants must also be available for a phone interview between January 16 and February 16, 2012.

To find out more, read the volunteer position description; complete and submit an application form; and further your leadership journey. For all the details see the YCA website:
