Our young people inspire us and give back to the community

Scott Morris is a young Aboriginal man on the move. At 21 he has completed a course in Fitness and is a qualified fitness instructor. He is in the process of setting up a new business and will be offering personal training sessions as well as a Boot Camp at Erskinville Oval in late Feb. Follow the link to his brochure.

Scott values fitness and a healthy lifestyle and is also about to go to university to study Sports and Exercise Science, as well as start his exciting new enterprise.

Scott has been involved with Weave’s youth service since he was 15 years old having received help with school and some legal issues when he was younger. Scott said his “life has been an extravagant rollercoaster with a lot of ups and downs. Shane and other staff at the service have helped with guidance although I’m self driven. They are always supportive and honest about what I need to do to get on top of things and they are there when I need someone to talk to”. He said he wants to give back to the community and has become a Tribal Warrior Volunteer Mentor supporting other young people in Redfern.

We wish Scott all the best with his study and new business and look forward to staying connected.
