Aboriginal Women’s Yarning Circle

Strong Aboriginal Women Yarning together for a better future.

Weave Youth Family Community located in Elizabeth Street Waterloo has been funded by the Healing foundation to run a number of projects over the next two years to provide Aboriginal people with the opportunity to overcome intergenerational trauma. One of the programs being offered at Weave is a Women’s Yarning Circle commencing on February the 25th 2013. This is a 12-week program that provides Aboriginal women over the age of 18 years with the opportunity to come together each week for 90 minutes and discuss challenges in their lives both past and present and ways to improve their social, emotional and psychological well being. This is an important project for Aboriginal women as it is an opportunity to address trauma and the ways it impacts on our lives and provides collective strategies to develop resilience and strength for the future.

To register for this program you are able to complete the registration form on line which you will find here: Aboriginal_Womens_Yarning_Circle_flyer_and_registration_form.pdf or you can contact the organise Vanessa directly on 93180539 or 0419279862.
