Aboriginal Women's Project Worker – Female and Aboriginal Identified Position

12-month Fixed Term Contract from February 2017 – February 2018

The Aboriginal Women’s Project Worker will collaborate with Weave Women and Children’s Centre staff, Redlink staff and local residents in Redfern to develop and implement a comprehensive suite of projects for women with a particular focus on domestic violence. The aim of these projects will be to create a safe, supportive community that is culturally connected. Responsibilities will include: Drop in support, group work, information & referral for womenin relation to a range of issues, and coordinating a range of community events.


 You will work in a highly responsive, proactive and innovative way and develop collaborative relationships with other services to ensure holistic support to women, and in particular Aboriginal women living in social housing in Redfern. You will feel highly supported through regular supervision, access to peer review, opportunities for training and development and a friendly and experienced team around you.


Classification for this position is SCHCADS Award Level 5 Paypoint 1-3 depending on qualifications and experience. Hourly rate range: $36.61 - $38.81 per hour plus significant salary packaging benefits.
